Members of Ogbakor Omu Egbeda Worldwide has appealed to Rivers State Police Command to release some of their members arrested by the operatives of Anti-Kidnap Unit.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the body, Hon. Onyeche Wofurum Igwe, they also urged the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command to thoroughly investigate the case and make sure that justice is done.
He said: “I know those boys very well, even to their houses, they cannot be involved in any criminal activity. I can swear for them.”
“It is either there was a mix up somewhere or they were framed up.” He added.
Hon. Igwe also advised other members of Ogbakor Omu Egbeda Worldwide to be calm as efforts are being made to reach appropriate quarters to make sure the innocent boys are released. The names of the boys are Blessing Akpelu, Precious Ebee, and Wisdom Oto Amadi, all from Egbeda in Emohua LGA of Rivers state.
