Some employees of Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board (UBE) has sent a Save Our Soul Message to the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara to remember the employment of 1000 teachers done by UBE two years ago.
One of them who pleaded for anonymity, on behalf of others, stated that the 1000 teachers employed by UBE have been issued Appointment Letters since June 2023 and attended trainings. He also lamented bitterly the silence of the Governor towards the employment.
He went further to beg Governor Fubara not to cancel the employment, as the recruited teachers are ready to go to the classroom to teach.
Our correspondent has contacted the Executive Chairman of UBE, Hon. David Briggs, for his response but he hasn’t responded yet.
