The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Rivers State Chapter, writes to express her heartfelt condolences with you and the entire sporting community in your State over the death of 20 athletes that died in a fatal car accident while returning from the just concluded National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Rivers SWAN is in a deep shock and sorrow by this sad incident that took the lives of these aspiring young athletes who have promised to make Nigeria proud in future.
Again our hearts goes out to you and the bereaved families during this difficult time.
The entire sports fraternity in Rivers State pray God to give the families of the departed young athletes the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
