Your Excellency, Sir,

Greetings your Excellency and I wish to say to you congratulations for another successful one year in office after a failed impeachment attempt by  opposition law makers, as I have not been able to write and engage your office since the last time I wrote to you during  your one-year (1) in office anniversary. I  therefore,  use this opportunity to say Happy New Month and wish you a frutiful political engagement for the rest months & years of your tenure.

Your Excellency, Sir, I want to first thank you for being a listening Governor, one who has proven to be a man of action, remaining unaffected by the noise that often accompanies democratic engagements. Instead, you have responded positively to the signals that lead to meaningful progress, staying clear of distractions. Though we cannot entirely disregard such noise, your focus on genuine engagement stands out. I am grateful for your ongoing efforts in Rivers State. Despite the political distractions, you have kept to your promises, demonstrating your determination to restore the state’s glory. I thank you for heeding my plea, as expressed in my initial letter, by awarding street lights to Nkoro, brightening the entire kingdom. I assure you that the people of Nkoro and its residents are regaining confidence in your administration, and I believe that the future will reveal the positive impact of your good works.

Ama-Opusenibo Sir, the people of Nkoro and non-indigenes residing and conducting business in Opobo-Nkoro, your very own LGA, have not asked for much, yet you continue to exceed our expectations. Currently, your government is executing key projects in Opobo-Nkoro LGA. Most recently, you awarded the Kalaibiama/Epellema road project immediately after my first open letter, requesting attention to our LGA amidst the statewide construction efforts. As has been said, “when it’s your turn, do for your people, for no one else will do it better.” I may not represent everyone’s perspective, but I know that your actions reflect a genuine philosophy of development that is rapidly creating a people-oriented government. Your leadership is indeed responsive to the demands of our times, and we are grateful to you, Sir.

Your Excellency, Sir, a wise man once said, “A closed mouth is a closed destiny.” I hope I am not asking for too much as you continue to use taxpayers’ money and federal allocations to boost the state’s economic activities.

It is my sincere hope, Your Excellency, that you continue to give the people of Nkoro (Kirika Kingdom) more reasons to believe in your leadership. In doing so, democratic values can reach places such as:

  1. Nkoro Main Town
  2. Olom Nkoro
  3. Defaka Ama
  4. Iwoama Nkoro
  5. Suku Ama
  6. Olom Ama
  7. Ikule Ama
  8. Ogor Ama
  9. Job Ama
  10. Olilokiri
  11. Aya Ama I
  12. Aya Ama II
  13. Nkpete
  14. Port Alali

These locations, all within Nkoro (Kirika Kingdom), could then benefit from your stewardship as others are currently benefiting.

Your Excellency, Sir, I am well aware of the challenges in ensuring equitable distribution of resources, especially in light of implementing the minimum wage. Nonetheless, it is believed that your strategic planning for Rivers State’s future will yield positive results.

Your Excellency, Ama-Opusenibo of Opobo Kingdom, please permit me to use this medium to remind you of my previous letter regarding the needs of Nkoro, your Ijaw brothers, who share the same Local Government Area with you. It would be concerning if only certain areas in your LGA benefited from development. On this note, I wish to remind you of the following critical projects that need your attention:

  1. Renovation of Comprehensive High School, Nkoro.
  2. Total rehabilitation of Nkoro General Hospital and renovation of the modern primary healthcare facility.
  3. Completion of the second phase of the dredging and piling (embankment) of Nkoro waterfront to protect against flooding and erosion.
  4. Land reclamation in Nkoro II, as Ijaw people require more land for development.
  5. Construction of standard Nkoro internal roads, which are currently inadequate.
  6. Renovation of the Iwo-Ama Nkoro power station.
  7. Construction of a town hall for the Olom-Nkoro Community.
  8. Establishment of a potable drinking water project for Aya-Ama Nkoro I and II.

Amaopu Sir, I reiterate that I am aware of the good plans you have for Nkoro. We are hopeful that you will break through the challenges, proving wrong those who doubt you, for the sake of your devoted supporters who have stood by you through thick and thin. The people of Nkoro were on the frontlines, defending and supporting your mandate during trying times, ensuring that Ijaw and Rivers people’s trust in you as the Governor was not misplaced.

At this juncture, allow me to wish you continued success in democratic governance, as we anticipate that your generosity toward the good people of Nkoro will stand as one of your greatest achievements.

Thank you, and may God bless you. I look forward to your positive response and action.

Long Live Your Excellency, Amaopu-Senibo Sir Siminalayi Fubara (GSSRS)
