The medical outreach, which took place at her residence, 6 Ali Street, Orogbum, Ogbun-nu-Abali, Port Harcourt, recorded a huge turnout with over two hundred persons in attendance.

Dr. Godwin Iche, Nigerian Medical Representative of Medical Visions for Peace and the Public Relations Officer of Ikwerre Doctors Forum, emphasized that the organization wanted to make a difference in the community.

He explained that healthcare is expensive in Nigeria, and the organization was trying to give back to the community in its own way. He added that the team comprised general practitioners, pharmacists, lab scientists, and nurses, and they had expected to attend to over two hundred persons.

The medical practitioner noted that the event was part of the ongoing burial program for the late grandmother. He said that Peace Owhor Ogunleye, the first grandchild, had organized the medical outreach to honor her grandmother’s memory.

Seyi Ogunleye, one of the representatives of MVP, stated that the organization had gathered experts to administer medication and conduct health checks for community members. He explained that the grandmother had lived a long, healthy life, and the event was a tribute to her memory.

According to him, the medical outreach aimed to improve the health and wellness of community members, providing first-line medical checks, doctor consultations, medical diagnostics, and medication.
