A Life Rooted in Grace

Affectionately called Mama Lolo or Mama Olu, she was born on June 20, 1928, into the noble household of Late Elder Lazarus Wopara of Ohia, Orije, Oro-Abali in Rebisi Kingdom. From her youth, she was admired for her natural beauty, gentle disposition, and strong sense of responsibility.

Raised with deep moral values, respect for elders, and an early devotion to God, these virtues guided her entire journey. She later married Late Senior Apostle Godwin Ezebunwo Woji of the Wola family, also of Orije, Oro-Abali in Ogbum-nu-Abali. Their union was one marked by grace, strength, unity, and unwavering faith.

Their marriage was blessed with nine children (one of blessed memory), twenty-five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one surviving sister, and numerous relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

A Pillar of Strength and Industry

Mama was a hardworking, enterprising woman who believed deeply in the dignity of labor. For over 45 years, she maintained a thriving fresh-fish stall at the Mile 1 Diobu Market, selling large-sized fresh fish to support her family. Her determination and entrepreneurial spirit made her not only a pillar of support to her husband but also a role model to countless women in her community.

She instilled in her children the values of honesty, perseverance, integrity, and hard work, principles that shaped their lives and continue to guide the generations after her.

A Heart of Gold

Mama’s home was a sanctuary of warmth and hospitality. She welcomed everyone family, neighbors, strangers, and the needy with open arms. It was no surprise that many simply called her Mama, because she cared for all as though they were her own children.

She was kind, disciplined, prayerful, compassionate, and exceptionally generous. She gave without hesitation and never turned away anyone in need. Mama lived a life anchored in faith, love, service, humility, and sacrifice.

Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were touched by her kindness. Her name remains a blessing, and her memory will forever be honored.

Forever in Our Hearts

“Mama Olu” was a shining light to her family, a gift to her community, and a devoted servant of Amen. May her gentle soul continue to rest in perfect peace. Amen.
