It was fun and merry making on Monday in Ward 8, Port Harcourt City Local Government Area ( PHALGA) as people of the ward had their share of Rivers State Governor Siminialayi Fubara Easter gifts.
The Easter largese cut across every member of the ward irrespective of party affiliation, the occasion was held at the ward’s play ground and attended by huge crowd.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Action Peoples Party (APP) in Rivers State, Hon. Sunny Wokekoro, DSSRS, said what is happening in the State politically is just a mere temporary setback.
According to him, the peace Rivers people and persons doing business are enjoying in the State is the peaceful disposition of Governor Fubara.
“We thank God for the person like Governor Fubara for his peaceful disposition otherwise the State would have been in a chaotic situation.
“Governor Fubara is winning without anybody losing his or her life, please continue to conduct yourselves by maintaining peace”, Hon. Wokekoro said.
He expressed optimism that very soon the governor will be called back to resume on his position as governor, saying that the Governor is currently on sabbatical leave.
The APP boss, noted that Governor Fubara commitment to President Bola Tinubu second term bid is sacrosanct.
“You can see that Mr. President was told lies but now the truth has started revealing which everybody is now hearing.
” I called on every member of this ward to put the Governor in prayers, but I believe before the end of next month he will be back to office” he stated.
He further advised the people of the ward to end all grudges against one another and exhibit love at all times in the spirit of the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
