American Hospital Dubai has announced plans to open a new office in Abuja, Nigeria, in December 2024, further expanding its presence in the country.
The Abuja office will serve as a key link between the hospital and Nigerian patients, providing easier access to advanced medical care in Dubai. The hospital’s expansion into Abuja is part of its strategy to increase its reach and provide world-class healthcare services to patients in Nigeria.
The announcement comes after the successful launch of American Hospital Dubai’s first Nigerian office in Lagos on August 19, 2024. The Lagos office was commissioned by the UAE Consulate General in Nigeria, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mandoos, alongside the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, who represented Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
According to Prince Tonye Princewill, Board Member of American Hospital Dubai Nigeria Limited, the hospital’s expansion into Abuja is aimed at providing a wider range of medical services to patients. “We want to make it easier for Nigerian patients to access our services,” Princewill said. “The Abuja office will provide a one-stop-shop for patients, handling everything from visa assistance to flight bookings and accommodation arrangements.”
The Abuja office will also serve as a hub for patient coordination and support, working closely with the hospital’s team in Dubai to ensure that patients receive seamless care. The hospital has also announced plans for a state-of-the-art diagnostic center in Nigeria, which will further enhance its capabilities and provide high-quality healthcare services to patients.
The opening of the Abuja office is expected to increase American Hospital Dubai’s visibility and reach in Nigeria, solidifying its position as a major player in the country’s healthcare sector. With its commitment to investing in Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure and providing world-class medical services, American Hospital Dubai is poised to make a significant impact in the country’s healthcare landscape.
